Are There Any Good Online Estate Agents?

Sometimes it can seem as if online Estate Agents have got a really bad reputation.  Often people seem to think that because an Estate Agent is an online Estate Agent, they will have no scruples or any interest in ensuring that the property sale proceeds unhindered.  But the reality is that there are actually good and backed online Estate Agents.

Unfortunately some of the bad Estate Agents that can be found on the Internet have given rise to some complaints and dissatisfaction, which in turn has led to people almost having an innate distrust of online Estate Agents.  It is almost like the one rotten apple that has spoiled things for everyone.

Do Your Research:

If you are careful and do a little bit of research then you should be able to secure the services of a really good online Estate Agent at a reasonable cost.  One of the things to be mindful of is that a bad online Estate Agent will usually try to get to you to pay a heavy fee up front and then they will probably do very little once the property has been advertised on their website.

In comparison any good online Estate Agent will actually be able to offer you extensive online advertising and they will make this very clear when you first approach them.  A good online Estate Agent will also have the skills and ability to be involved in negotiating the successful completion of the sale and they will be able to negotiate with potential buyers if there are any problems.

Estate Agents and Negotiating!

When a potential buyer is going through the process of buying your home, they will probably have a survey done and it is at this point that a number of issues may be raised by the surveyor, which may lead the potential buyer to become nervous about buying the home or they may even wish to significantly reduce the price.  This can be a difficult time for both the potential buyer and the vendor and it is at this point that you will definitely need an Estate Agent who is able to negotiate effectively and who is able to act as a bridge between you as the vendor and the potential buyer.  If you don’t have an Estate Agent who can negotiate at this stage then the sale is much more likely to fall through.  Obviously this is a scenario that you would wish to avoid at all costs.

It is really important therefore that you check with online Estate Agents to see just how much advertising they will do for you, how much money they expect you to pay to have your property listed on their website, and what level of service they will provide for you.  If they are not willing to negotiate or advertise your property extensively then you are simply better off going to an online Estate Agent who will act on your behalf and more importantly ensure that your home sells.
